The Audi Coupe quattro 20v. From the factory, it was a fairly good touring coupe. It has a nice compliant ride and is fairly well balanced for being nose heavy. Engine wise, Audi installed its newest and final normally aspirated inline five cylinder engine. This engine has a displacement of 2309cc, dual overhead cams actuating four valves per cylinder, and makes 164hp and 157lb-ft of torque. The curb weight of 3170 pounds is rather portly, and can tend to burden the engine and suspension, as well as the brakes, if you like spirited driving. After having my car for a year in stock form, things started to change. First the rims were replaced with a plus one fitting of ATS Type 10's, and eventually new Koni "Yellow" externally adjustable shocks were added. Another year passed, and I decided to upgrade things further on the car. A set of Brembo/Porsche 993 Carerra 2 brakes in the front were fitted, a Stebro exhaust, and Vortrag's coil-over suspension. The local sports car body shop made sure new paint was applied properly, as well as installing updated body panels and lights.
